These cars were built by the St. Charles Car Co. between 1886 and 1890 and followed general industry practice of the period. The cars were originally equipped with Theilson archbar trucks. Refinements such as turnbuckles, automatic brakes and automatic couplers were added over the next twenty years. The kit consists of plans, templates, step-by-step instructions, precision cut wood, decals by Thinfilm and castings by Grandt and Micro Engineering. Less Trucks & Couplers.
